The SRTMC app serves as the official platform for traffic and traveler information from the Spokane Regional Traffic Management Center. It aims to deliver timely traffic updates for the greater Spokane area.

Features:

 <li>Audio notifications that allow hands-free and eyes-free awareness of upcoming traffic events and rest areas while driving.</li>
 <li>A zoom-enabled map featuring tappable icons that denote traffic impacts alongside views from surrounding cameras.</li>
 <li>Near real-time updates regarding traffic conditions, roadwork, weather impacts, and road closures.</li>
 <li>The ability to manage personalized My SRTMC accounts, which include saved routes, areas, camera views, and options for email and text alerts.</li>
 <li>Current traffic speed and road condition visibility.</li>
 <li>Access to state-wide traffic cameras; users can create a My SRTMC account for efficient camera access.</li>
 <li>A gateway to additional traveler information resources.</li>
</ul>

Note: Prolonged use of GPS in the background may lead to decreased battery life on devices.

The safety of all drivers remains paramount. Mobile communication devices should only be used when the vehicle is at a complete stop and off the traveled roadway. Texting while driving is illegal, and using this app while driving poses safety risks.
